「你們作為活石，要被建造成屬靈的殿，成為聖潔的祭司。」
“You yourselves, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood.”

彼得不是說：「你們每一個人都是一座獨立的屬靈房屋。」他說的是：「你們作為活石，要被建造成屬靈的殿。」經文的重點在於群體：信徒不是孤立地存在，而是被神放在一起，建造成祂居住的屬靈殿。
Peter does not say, “Each of you is an independent spiritual house.” He says, “You yourselves, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house.” The emphasis is communal: believers do not exist in isolation, but are placed together by God to become His spiritual dwelling.
一、基督是房角石，群體不是以人為中心
Christ Is the Cornerstone; the Community Is Not Human-Centered
整段經文首先把焦點放在基督身上。祂是活石，是神所揀選、所珍貴的房角石；教會的根基不是某位領袖、某種傳統、某個事工模式，也不是信徒共同的性格或利益，而是耶穌基督自己。
The passage first focuses on Christ. He is the living Stone, the chosen and precious cornerstone; the church’s foundation is not a particular leader, tradition, ministry model, or shared interest, but Jesus Christ Himself.
房角石的作用，是決定建築的方向、角度和穩定性。
The cornerstone determines the building’s direction, alignment, and stability.
若房角石歪了，其他石頭即使彼此緊密，也只會建成一座歪斜的房屋。
If the cornerstone is misaligned, the other stones may be tightly connected, yet the whole house will still be crooked.
同樣，教會即使人數很多、事工繁盛、行政效率高，若不再以基督為中心，仍可能失去屬靈的方向。
Likewise, even if a church has many members, active ministries, and efficient administration, it may still lose its spiritual direction if it is no longer centered on Christ.
教會需要不斷問：我們是否按基督的真理作決定？是否以基督的性情處理衝突？是否以基督的憐憫對待軟弱者？是否把榮耀歸給基督，而不是歸給某個人的能力？
The church must continually ask: Do we make decisions according to Christ’s truth? Do we handle conflict according to Christ’s character? Do we treat the weak with Christ’s compassion? Do we give glory to Christ rather than to a person’s ability?
二、活石必須彼此連結
Living Stones Must Be Connected
一塊石頭若單獨存在，不能成為房屋。
A stone standing alone cannot become a house.
彼得說，信徒被「建造成」屬靈的殿，這個被動語態提醒我們：是神把我們組合、安放並建立在一起；教會不是人靠自己設計出來的社交組織，而是神持續建造的群體。
Peter says believers “are being built up” as a spiritual house; this passive construction reminds us that God assembles, places, and builds us together. The church is not merely a social organization designed by people, but a community God continually constructs.
但「被神建造」不表示信徒彼此不需要負責。
Yet being “built by God” does not mean believers have no responsibility toward one another.
石頭必須彼此接觸，才能形成穩固結構；信徒也必須透過真實關係、彼此服事、互相勸勉、饒恕和共同敬拜，才顯出群體的本質。
Stones must be joined together to form a stable structure; believers likewise need genuine relationships, mutual service, encouragement, forgiveness, and shared worship to reveal the nature of the community.
這表示「我只要自己愛主，不需要教會」並不符合彼得的圖像。
This means that “I can love the Lord privately and do not need the church” does not fit Peter’s picture.
孤立的基督徒像一塊離開建築的石頭：可能仍然是真石頭，卻沒有活出神要他在群體中承擔的功能。
An isolated Christian is like a stone removed from a building: it may still be a real stone, but it is not fulfilling the function God intends within the community.
三、群體性的祭司身份
A Communal Priestly Identity
彼得說，信徒被建造成「聖潔的祭司」。
Peter says that believers are built into “a holy priesthood.”
這不是只描述少數牧者、傳道人或教會領袖，而是描述整個信徒群體。
This does not describe only pastors, ministers, or church leaders; it describes the entire community of believers.
彼得把舊約中祭司的身份與功能，應用在基督的群體身上；教會一起來到神面前，一起敬拜，一起承擔見證，一起把生命獻給神。
Peter applies the Old Testament priestly identity and function to Christ’s community; the church draws near to God together, worships together, bears witness together, and offers its life to God together.
因此，屬靈成熟不只是「我個人讀經、我個人禱告、我個人敬拜」，也包括我如何幫助整個群體更親近神。
Therefore, spiritual maturity is not only “my personal Bible reading, my personal prayer, and my personal worship”; it also includes how I help the whole community draw nearer to God.
一位信徒的禱告，可能成為別人的力量；一位信徒的誠實，可能保護整個群體；一位信徒的謙卑悔改，可能成為教會修復的起點；一位信徒忠心的服事，可能使許多人得以繼續前行。
One believer’s prayer may strengthen others; one believer’s honesty may protect the whole community; one believer’s humble repentance may begin a church’s restoration; one believer’s faithful service may enable many others to continue forward.
四、屬靈祭物是整個生命
Spiritual Sacrifices Include the Whole Life
第5節說，信徒要藉著耶穌基督獻上「蒙神悅納的屬靈祭物」。
Verse 5 says believers are to offer “spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
這些祭物不是舊約的牲畜，而是由信徒整個生命所獻上的敬拜。
These sacrifices are not Old Testament animals, but worship offered through the whole life of believers.
屬靈祭物包括禱告、讚美、感恩、順服、善行、慷慨、服事、身體、時間、恩賜與對群體的愛。
Spiritual sacrifices include prayer, praise, thanksgiving, obedience, good works, generosity, service, the body, time, gifts, and love for the community.
這些祭物之所以蒙神悅納，不是因為我們獻得完美，而是因為它們「藉著耶穌基督」獻上。
These sacrifices are acceptable to God not because they are offered perfectly, but because they are offered “through Jesus Christ.”
因此，服事不是向神證明自己有價值，也不是用忙碌換取神的愛。
Therefore, ministry is not proving our worth to God, nor exchanging busyness for His love.
我們是在基督裡已蒙接納，所以能夠把自己、時間、能力和資源獻給神使用。
We have already been accepted in Christ, and therefore can offer ourselves, time, abilities, and resources for God’s use.
五、活石群體如何協調建造？
How Does a Community of Living Stones Build Together?
1. 共同順服同一塊房角石
1. Submit Together to the Same Cornerstone
教會的共同方向不是由最有聲望、最有資源或聲音最大的人決定，而是由基督的話與性情校準。
The church’s direction is not determined by the most prestigious, resourceful, or vocal person, but aligned by Christ’s word and character.
若每個人都以自己的偏好作房角石，群體必然分裂。
If everyone makes personal preference the cornerstone, the community will inevitably divide.
2. 承認恩賜不同，卻不分高低
2. Honor Different Gifts Without Ranking Them
石頭的大小、形狀和位置可能不同，但每一塊都按神的安排被使用。
Stones may differ in size, shape, and position, but each is used according to God’s design.
教會中有人講道，有人代禱，有人接待，有人探訪，有人管理，有人默默支持；崗位不同，不代表價值不同。
Some preach, some intercede, some welcome, some visit, some manage, and some quietly support; different roles do not mean different worth.
3. 以彼此建造取代彼此競爭
3. Replace Competition With Mutual Building
若一位弟兄成功，我不必感到自己的位置被奪走；若一位姊妹得到肯定，我可以為她感恩。
When a brother succeeds, I do not need to feel my position has been taken; when a sister receives recognition, I can give thanks for her.
石頭不是彼此競爭誰最突出，而是共同承擔整座房屋的重量。
Stones do not compete over which is most prominent; together they bear the weight of the entire house.
4. 在衝突中追求修復
4. Pursue Restoration in Conflict
群體性不表示沒有摩擦；正因為活石彼此靠近，才會有磨合、碰撞和張力。
Communal life does not mean the absence of friction; precisely because living stones are close to one another, there will be adjustment, collision, and tension.
成熟的教會不是沒有衝突，而是願意按基督的方式面對衝突：說真話、承認錯誤、聆聽受傷者、設立必要界線，並尋求修復。
A mature church is not one without conflict, but one willing to handle conflict in Christ’s way: speak truth, admit wrong, listen to the wounded, establish necessary boundaries, and seek restoration.
六、活石群體的宣教方向
6. The Missional Direction of Living Stones
雖然本段經文集中在4至8節，但後面的9節清楚說明，這個屬靈殿和祭司群體存在的目的，是「宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德」。
Although this passage focuses on verses 4–8, verse 9 clearly explains that the purpose of this spiritual house and priestly community is to “proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
所以，教會不是一座只為自己舒適的房屋。
Therefore, the church is not a house built merely for its own comfort.
活石群體一方面向上敬拜神，另一方面向外宣揚神的美德，並在日常生活中讓人看見福音所帶來的新群體。
The community of living stones worships God upward, proclaims His excellencies outward, and shows through daily life the new community created by the gospel.
宣教不是少數人的專業工作，而是整個祭司群體共同的召命。
Mission is not the professional task of a few, but the shared calling of the entire priestly community.
教會若彼此爭競、互相拆毀、充滿權力鬥爭，就很難有效宣揚神的美德。
If a church competes, tears one another down, and is filled with power struggles, it will struggle to proclaim God’s excellencies effectively.
相反地，當信徒在差異中彼此相愛、在衝突中追求真理與修復、在需要中彼此扶持，群體本身就成為福音的可見見證。
Conversely, when believers love one another amid differences, pursue truth and restoration amid conflict, and support one another in need, the community itself becomes a visible witness to the gospel.
七、為你的活石群體禱告
Pray for Your Community of Living Stones
你可以思想：你參與的教會是否真正以基督為房角石？
Consider whether the church you participate in is truly built on Christ as its cornerstone.
是否有人因感到不被需要、不被看見或被忽略，逐漸離開群體？
Are there people drifting away because they feel unnecessary, unseen, or overlooked?
是否有一些事工彼此競爭，而不是彼此配搭？
Are certain ministries competing rather than cooperating?
是否有一些未處理的嫉妒、傷害、權力衝突或不信任，正在削弱整座屬靈的殿？
Are unresolved envy, wounds, power struggles, or distrust weakening the spiritual house?
你可以為教會領袖、同工、主日學、敬拜團隊、代禱者、年長者、青少年，以及那些很少被人看見的服事者禱告。
Pray for church leaders, co-workers, Sunday school teachers, worship teams, intercessors, elders, youth, and those who serve with little recognition.
也求神使你自己成為一塊可靠、柔軟、願意被祂安放的活石，而不是只要求別人配合自己的位置。
Ask God to make you a reliable, flexible living stone willing to be placed by Him, rather than someone who only demands that others accommodate your preferred position.
今日省察與禱告
Reflection and Prayer
我是否真正把基督當作生命和教會的房角石，還是讓個人偏好、面子、傳統或某位領袖成為實際中心？
Do I truly make Christ the cornerstone of my life and church, or have personal preference, reputation, tradition, or a particular leader become the practical center?
我是否把自己視為群體中的活石，願意連結、配搭、承擔和被調整？
Do I see myself as a living stone in the community, willing to connect, cooperate, bear responsibility, and be adjusted?
我可以帶到神面前的屬靈祭物是甚麼——禱告、時間、恩賜、金錢、順服、悔改、善行，還是對某位弟兄姊妹的實際愛？
What spiritual sacrifice can I bring before God—prayer, time, gifts, money, obedience, repentance, good works, or practical love for a brother or sister?
主啊，感謝祢使基督成為被揀選、珍貴、穩固的房角石。
Lord, thank You for making Christ the chosen, precious, and secure cornerstone.
求祢使我不再孤立地生活，而是甘心被建造成祢屬靈殿中的活石。
Help me not to live in isolation, but willingly to be built as a living stone in Your spiritual house.
求祢使我們的教會不以人的名望、恩賜或偏好為中心，而是共同順服基督、彼此建造、彼此承擔。
Keep our church from centering on human reputation, gifts, or preferences; make us submit together to Christ, build one another up, and bear one another’s burdens.
求祢使我把自己、我的時間、能力、資源、禱告和順服，藉著基督獻上作蒙祢悅納的屬靈祭物。
Help me offer myself, my time, abilities, resources, prayers, and obedience through Christ as spiritual sacrifices acceptable to You.
願我們這群活石彼此協調，朝著同一個方向建造，並在相愛與服事中宣揚祢的美德。
May we, as living stones, be joined together, build toward the same purpose, and proclaim Your excellencies through love and service.
