Revelation 2:12-17
「你要寫信給別迦摩教會的使者，說：那有兩刃利劍的這樣說：
“‘To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: The words of him who has the sharp two-edged sword:
我知道你的居所，就是有撒但座位之處；當我忠心的見證人安提帕在你們中間、在撒但所住的地方被殺之時，你還堅守我的名，沒有否認對我的信仰。
“‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. Yet you hold fast my name, and you did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas my faithful witness, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
然而，有幾件事我要責備你，就是在你那裏有人服從了巴蘭的教訓；這巴蘭曾教唆巴勒將絆腳石放在以色列人面前，使他們吃祭過偶像之物，並且犯淫亂。
But I have a few things against you: you have some there who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they might eat food sacrificed to idols and practice sexual immorality.
同樣，你那裏也有人服從了尼哥拉派的教訓。所以，你當悔改；若不悔改，我很快就到你那裏來，用我口中的劍攻擊他們。
So also you have some who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth.
凡有耳朵的都應當聽聖靈向眾教會所說的話。得勝的，我必將那隱藏的嗎哪賜給他，並賜他一塊白石，石上寫着新的名字，除了那領受的以外，沒有人認識。』」
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will give some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, with a new name written on the stone that no one knows except the one who receives it.’
默想
Reflection
我們的生活中，是否有一些「大家都這樣做」的事，正悄悄索取我們的忠誠？妥協未必立刻叫人離開信仰，卻會漸漸磨薄我們的界線。
Are there things in our lives that “everyone does,” quietly demanding our loyalty? Compromise may not immediately make us abandon the faith, but it slowly wears away our boundaries.
今天捫心自問兩件事：在公開場合中，我們是否敢於承認基督？在無人注意的利益選擇中，我們是否仍照祂的話行？這兩處都是真實的見證。
Ask yourself two questions today: In public, are we willing to acknowledge Christ? In private choices involving gain, do we still act according to His word? Both are real witnesses.
我們也許正被種種標籤困住：能力不足、失敗、麻煩、過時……請把這些名字放到白石旁邊。基督有權命名我們，也深知我們的忠誠。
We may be trapped by labels: not capable enough, a failure, a burden, outdated… Place these names beside the white stone. Christ has the authority to name us, and He knows our faithfulness.
若有人因忠於信仰而失去機會，我們能否成為上帝供應的一部分，給予具體的支持？
If someone loses an opportunity because of faithfulness to Christ, can we become part of God’s provision and offer practical support?
華人社會重視人情、關係與群體和諧。這些文化特質可以承載恩典，同時也可能使良心變得模糊。
Chinese society values human relationships, connections, and communal harmony. These cultural qualities can carry grace, but they can also blur the conscience.
飯局、送禮、商業合作、職場應酬或家族期待，都會問我們：願意為了被接納而付出甚麼？這封給別迦摩的信提醒我們，忠誠常在這些看似普通的場合中被塑造出來。
Dinners, gifts, business partnerships, workplace socializing, and family expectations all ask us: What are we willing to give up in order to be accepted? The letter to Pergamum reminds us that faithfulness is often formed in these ordinary settings.
禱告
Prayer
主啊，求祢保守我們的名字屬於祢。在我們害怕被排斥時，賜下安提帕的勇氣；面對便利與誘惑時，賜下清醒。
Lord, keep our names belonging to You. When we fear rejection, give us Antipas’ courage; when we face convenience and temptation, give us clarity.
求祢幫助我們在人情、利益和群體壓力中，仍能分辨甚麼是祢所喜悅的，甚麼是會絆倒我們的。
Help us, amid relationships, interests, and group pressure, to discern what pleases You and what would cause us to stumble.
我們寧可失去眼前的利益，也不願意在敬拜中失去自己。
We would rather lose immediate gain than lose ourselves in worship.
奉主耶穌基督的名禱告，阿們。
In Jesus Christ’s name we pray, Amen.
結語
Conclusion
啟示錄 2:12-17 提醒我們，基督不只在逼迫中看見我們的忠心，也在日常的妥協與誘惑中鑒察我們的心。
Revelation 2:12-17 reminds us that Christ sees our faithfulness not only in persecution, but also in everyday compromises and temptations.
願我們在撒但座位旁仍堅守主的名，也相信那位有權柄的基督，必把新的名字賜給得勝的人。
May we hold fast to the Lord’s name even beside Satan’s throne, trusting that the Christ who has all authority will give a new name to those who overcome.
