這節經文是彼得前書由「身份」轉向「生活」的重要轉折。前面彼得宣告信徒是被揀選的一族、君尊的祭司、神聖的國度和屬神的子民；現在他開始說明：這種身份應當如何影響信徒在社會中的生活方式。

This verse marks an important transition in 1 Peter from “identity” to “conduct.” Peter has just declared that believers are a chosen race, royal priesthood, holy nation, and people belonging to God; he now explains how this identity should shape their life in society.

Peter calls believers “sojourners and exiles” not to make them flee the world or despise earthly responsibilities, but to remind them that they live in this world without treating it as their ultimate home.

「神是愛」不應該只是一個教義主題，而應該是整本聖經敘事的「內在語法」和「本體論核心」。四個關鍵缺失（敘事主線、本體論深度、永恆弧線、愛與公義的張力），五條貫穿聖經的主線，這確實是將「神是愛」從「主題清單」提升為「聖經敘事語法」的關鍵。

彼得不是說：「你們每一個人都是一座獨立的屬靈房屋。」他說的是：「你們作為活石，要被建造成屬靈的殿。」經文的重點在於群體：信徒不是孤立地存在，而是被神放在一起，建造成祂居住的屬靈殿。
Peter does not say, “Each of you is an independent spiritual house.” He says, “You yourselves, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house.” The emphasis is communal: believers do not exist in isolation, but are placed together by God to become His spiritual dwelling.

Peter calls Christ the “living Stone” and believers “living stones”; this is not merely a beautiful metaphor, but a declaration that believers’ life direction must be joined to Christ’s path.

彼得前書第一章從神的揀選、基督的救贖、活潑的盼望與聖潔的呼召，最後走向一個具體而不能缺少的結果：一群因福音重生的人，必須成為彼此真誠相愛的群體。
First Peter chapter 1 moves from God’s election, Christ’s redemption, living hope, and the call to holiness toward a concrete and indispensable result: people reborn through the gospel must become a community that sincerely loves one another.

彼得前書一章13至19節是全書從「救恩宣告」轉向「救恩生活」的重要轉折：信徒既已因基督復活重生、得著活潑盼望，就要在寄居世上的日子裡活出聖潔、敬畏與順服。
1 Peter 1:13–19 is a crucial transition from the letter’s “declaration of salvation” to its “life shaped by salvation”: because believers have been born again through Christ’s resurrection and received a living hope, they are to live in holiness, reverence, and obedience during their earthly sojourn.
