“But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”

彼得在談完活潑盼望、天上基業與試煉中的信心後，立刻轉向生活的問題：既然信徒已蒙神拯救，就應活出與救恩相稱的生命。
After speaking of living hope, the heavenly inheritance, and faith amid trials, Peter immediately turns to life itself: since believers have been saved by God, they should live in a way that matches their salvation.

聖潔不是靠表現換取神接納的條件，而是蒙救贖之人對神恩典應有的回應。
Holiness is not a condition for earning God’s acceptance through performance; it is the fitting response of a person who has been redeemed by grace.

一、先盼望，後聖潔

Hope First, Then Holiness

第13節以「所以」開始，表示聖潔的呼召建立在前文的福音根基上。
Verse 13 begins with “therefore,” showing that the call to holiness rests on the gospel foundation established earlier.

因為基督已復活，因為信徒已重生，因為天上的基業已為他們存留，因為神正以大能保守他們，所以他們能夠預備心思、謹慎自守，並專心盼望基督顯現時所帶來的恩惠。
Because Christ has risen, believers have been born again, a heavenly inheritance is reserved for them, and God is guarding them by His power, they can prepare their minds, exercise self-control, and set their hope fully on the grace to be brought at Christ’s revelation.

彼得不是說：「你要先變得聖潔，神才會拯救你。」
Peter is not saying, “Become holy first, and then God will save you.”

他乃是說：「你已經蒙神以極重的代價救贖，因此，不要再回到從前那種虛妄、受私慾支配的生活。」
Rather, he is saying, “You have already been redeemed by God at an immeasurable cost; therefore, do not return to the former empty life ruled by desires.”

聖潔不是靠恐懼勉強維持的宗教表現，而是盼望在心裡扎根後，逐漸顯出來的生命方向。
Holiness is not religious performance maintained through fear; it is a life direction that gradually emerges when hope takes root in the heart.

二、聖潔的標準是神自己

God Himself Is the Standard of Holiness

彼得說：「那召你們的既是聖潔，你們在一切所行的事上也要聖潔。」
Peter says, “As he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”

他引用利未記的話：「你們要成為聖，因為我是聖潔的。」這句命令源自利未記十一章44至45節，表明聖潔的基礎不是社會潮流、文化習慣或個人感受，而是神自己不變的性情。[1][2]
He quotes Leviticus: “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” This command comes from Leviticus 11:44–45, showing that holiness is grounded not in social trends, cultural habits, or personal feelings, but in God’s unchanging character.

「聖潔」不只是指不做某些明顯錯誤的事情，也不是外表看起來比別人更敬虔。
“Holiness” does not merely mean avoiding certain obvious wrongs, nor does it mean appearing more religious than others.

聖潔首先是「分別出來歸給神」：不再把世界的私慾、成功標準、權力遊戲與自我中心當作生命的主人，而是承認自己屬於那位聖潔的神。
Holiness first means “being set apart for God”: no longer treating worldly desires, standards of success, power games, and self-centeredness as the masters of life, but recognizing that one belongs to the holy God.

因此，彼得說「在一切所行的事上」都要聖潔。
Therefore, Peter says to be holy “in all your conduct.”

這包括公開與隱藏的生活、工作與休息、言語與心思、金錢使用、情感關係、網上言論、面對誘惑時的選擇，以及如何對待比自己弱勢的人。
This includes public and private life, work and rest, speech and thought, use of money, emotional relationships, online speech, choices made in temptation, and treatment of those with less power.

聖潔不是生活的一個宗教分區，而是讓神的主權進入生活每一個範圍。
Holiness is not a religious compartment of life; it is allowing God’s lordship into every area of life.

三、敬畏：因神是父，也是公義的審判者

Reverent Fear: God Is Both Father and Just Judge

第17節有一個很深的張力：信徒稱神為「父」，卻也知道祂「不偏待人，按各人行為審判」。
Verse 17 holds a profound tension: believers call God “Father,” yet know that He “judges each person’s work impartially.”

神是父，表示信徒可以親近祂、信靠祂、在祂面前得著恩典。
God is Father, meaning believers may draw near to Him, trust Him, and receive grace in His presence.

神也是公義的審判者，表示祂不會因人的地位、外表、宗教背景、社會成就或口頭宣告，而輕忽真實的行為與生命方向。
God is also the righteous Judge, meaning that He does not overlook actual conduct and life direction because of status, appearance, religious background, social achievements, or verbal profession.

因此，「敬畏」不是恐懼神會忽然拒絕自己的兒女，而是對神的聖潔、公義、恩典與權柄抱持嚴肅而感恩的態度。
Therefore, “reverent fear” is not terror that God will suddenly reject His children, but a serious and grateful posture toward God’s holiness, justice, grace, and authority.

彼得呼召信徒在「寄居的日子」存敬畏的心，因為寄居者不能把地上短暫的認可、便利或利益，當作超過神旨意的最高價值。
Peter calls believers to live with reverent fear during their “time of sojourning,” because sojourners cannot treat temporary earthly approval, convenience, or gain as a value higher than God’s will.

四、你是用寶血贖回來的

You Were Redeemed by Precious Blood

第18至19節說，信徒得以從祖先傳下的「虛妄行為」中被贖出來，不是靠會朽壞的金銀，而是憑基督的寶血，如同無瑕疵、無玷污的羔羊。
Verses 18–19 say believers were redeemed from the “futile ways” inherited from their forefathers, not with perishable silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

「救贖」帶著付出代價、贖回奴僕的意思。
“Redemption” carries the idea of paying a price to buy back a slave.

彼得要信徒明白：你以前可能被私慾、偶像、錯誤價值觀、家族模式、社會期待或罪的權勢綑綁；但基督已經以祂無價的生命，把你從那種空虛的生活方式中買贖回來。
Peter wants believers to understand: you may once have been bound by desires, idols, false values, family patterns, social expectations, or the power of sin; but Christ has bought you back from that empty way of life with His priceless life.

釋經資料指出，彼得以基督寶血作為個人聖潔的強大動機：信徒既知道救贖的代價如此昂貴，也就不應再回到那種空虛、受罪支配的生活方式。
Interpretive resources note that Peter presents Christ’s precious blood as a powerful motive for personal holiness: knowing the redemption price was so costly, believers should not return to an empty life ruled by sin.

這不是說信徒要靠內疚來過聖潔生活。
This does not mean believers should pursue holy living through guilt.

相反地，寶血提醒我們：我有如此尊貴的價值，不是因我表現得多好，而是因基督甘願為我捨命；因此，我不再需要把自己賣給短暫的私慾、金錢、地位、掌控感或人的認可。
On the contrary, the precious blood reminds us: I have such profound worth not because I perform well, but because Christ willingly gave His life for me; therefore, I no longer need to sell myself to temporary desire, money, status, control, or human approval.

五、從「棄惡」到「行善」

From Turning from Evil to Doing Good

信主不是只在心裡相信一些真理，也不是只把某些壞習慣暫時壓下去。
Believing in Christ is not merely accepting truths inwardly, nor is it merely suppressing certain bad habits for a time.

彼得說，不要效法從前因無知而放縱私慾的樣子；這表示悔改包括離開舊的生活模式。
Peter says not to conform to former passions from the time of ignorance; this means repentance includes leaving old patterns of life.

但聖潔不只是一連串「不要」，也是一連串積極的「要」。
But holiness is not merely a series of “do nots”; it is also a series of positive “dos.”

不只是不說謊，也要說真話。
Not only refrain from lying, but speak truth.

不只是不貪婪，也要學習慷慨與知足。
Not only reject greed, but learn generosity and contentment.

不只是不被情慾操控，也要在關係中活出尊重、忠誠與純潔。
Not only refuse to be controlled by lust, but live out respect, faithfulness, and purity in relationships.

不只是不報復，也要學習饒恕、溫柔和尋求和平。
Not only refrain from revenge, but learn forgiveness, gentleness, and the pursuit of peace.

不只是不包庇不義，也要在合宜的方式中保護受傷害的人、說誠實的話、持守公義。
Not only refuse to cover up injustice, but protect those harmed, speak truthfully, and uphold justice in appropriate ways.

這種從棄惡到行善的改變，是聖靈在信徒裡面持續成聖的工作。
This movement from turning from evil to doing good is the Spirit’s continuing work of sanctification within believers.

今日可立的聖潔事項

Holy Commitments for Today

不要一次為自己訂立過多、過於抽象的目標。
Do not set too many or overly abstract goals all at once.

可以在禱告中求聖靈指出一兩個最需要處理的範圍，並把立志寫得具體、可實踐、可檢視。
In prayer, ask the Holy Spirit to point out one or two areas most in need of attention, and make commitments specific, practical, and reviewable.

聖潔的範圍	可具體立志的事項
言語	本週不以諷刺、抱怨、誇大或背後批評傷害人；若說錯話，當天主動承認並道歉。
Speech	This week, I will not harm others through sarcasm, complaining, exaggeration, or criticism behind their backs; if I speak wrongly, I will confess and apologize that day.
工作誠信	不隱瞞缺陷、不修改不實資料、不把責任推給他人；遇到壓力時，先記錄事實並尋求合宜支持。
Workplace integrity	I will not conceal defects, alter inaccurate data, or shift blame; when pressured, I will first document facts and seek appropriate support.
金錢與消費	每次較大的非必要消費前，先停下來禱告與等候一天，檢視這是否由比較、焦慮或貪慾推動。
Money and consumption	Before every larger nonessential purchase, I will pause, pray, and wait one day, asking whether comparison, anxiety, or greed is driving it.
時間與心思	每天先預留一段固定時間讀經、禱告與安靜，不讓手機、工作或娛樂搶走最清醒的心思。
Time and mind	Each day, I will reserve a fixed time for Scripture, prayer, and quiet, rather than allowing my phone, work, or entertainment to take my clearest attention.
關係與情緒	在衝突中不以冷漠、情緒勒索或報復回應；先停下、禱告，再以真實而尊重的方式溝通。
Relationships and emotions	In conflict, I will not respond with coldness, emotional manipulation, or revenge; I will pause, pray, and then communicate truthfully and respectfully.
隱藏的生活	在沒有人看見時，仍拒絕不誠實的內容、習慣或行為，因我知道我屬於聖潔的神。
Hidden life	When no one sees, I will still refuse dishonest content, habits, or actions, because I belong to the holy God.

聖潔不是靠一次巨大的承諾完成，而是在每天具體的小選擇中，讓基督的寶血所買贖的新身份越來越真實地顯明出來。
Holiness is not achieved through one dramatic promise, but through daily, concrete choices that increasingly display the new identity purchased by Christ’s blood.

Reflection and Prayer

我是否把聖潔誤解為靠自己努力換取神接納，還是明白聖潔是因我已蒙基督寶血救贖而作出的感恩回應？
Do I misunderstand holiness as earning God’s acceptance by my own effort, or do I understand it as a grateful response because I have already been redeemed by Christ’s precious blood?

我生命中有哪些「從前蒙昧無知時放縱私慾的樣子」，仍然以不同形式影響我的言語、工作、金錢、時間、關係或隱藏生活？
What patterns from my former life of ignorant desires still influence my speech, work, money, time, relationships, or hidden life in different forms?

我最需要在哪一兩個具體範圍，從「棄惡」走向「行善」？
In which one or two specific areas do I most need to move from turning from evil to doing good?

天父，感謝祢呼召我歸向祢，也呼召我在一切所行的事上活出祢的聖潔。
Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me to Yourself and calling me to reflect Your holiness in all I do.

主耶穌，感謝祢不是用會朽壞的金銀，而是用無瑕疵、無玷污的寶血把我救贖出來。
Lord Jesus, thank You that You redeemed me not with perishable silver or gold, but with Your precious blood, without blemish or stain.

聖靈，求祢光照我仍未處理的私慾、虛妄方式與隱藏罪，賜我力量離開它們，並在每天具體的選擇中學習行善、說真話、愛人與順服基督。
Holy Spirit, expose the desires, futile ways, and hidden sins I have not yet addressed. Give me strength to leave them, and teach me through daily, concrete choices to do good, speak truth, love others, and obey Christ.

求祢使我的生活，不是出於罪疚與恐懼，而是出於對祢恩典的感恩與敬畏；願我作為蒙揀選的寄居者，活出與基督寶血相稱的聖潔生命。
Let my life flow not from guilt and fear, but from gratitude and reverence for Your grace; may I, as a chosen sojourner, live a holy life worthy of Christ’s precious blood.
