彼得前書把救恩描寫為一個已經開始、正在經歷、並將在基督再來時完全顯明的恩典歷程；「天上的基業」就是這救恩最終圓滿的形態。
First Peter portrays salvation as grace that has already begun, is presently experienced, and will be fully revealed when Christ returns; the “heavenly inheritance” is the final, complete form of that salvation.
對寄居世上的信徒而言，這份基業不是逃避現實的安慰劑，而是在受苦、試煉與不確定中仍能堅固站立的盼望根基。
For believers sojourning in the world, this inheritance is not an escape from reality, but the foundation of hope that enables them to stand firm amid suffering, trials, and uncertainty.
救恩的三個時間向度
The Three Time Dimensions of Salvation
彼得前書不是把救恩只理解為「過去某一天信主」，而是同時從過去、現在與將來來談救恩。
First Peter does not understand salvation merely as “believing on a past day,” but speaks of salvation in past, present, and future dimensions.

Peter tightly binds these three time dimensions together: Christ’s past death and resurrection bring believers’ present new birth and preservation, while also guaranteeing salvation and glory to be fully revealed in the future.
這使基督徒能夠說：「我已經得救」、「我正在經歷救恩」、「我將要完全得救。」
This enables Christians to say: “I have been saved,” “I am experiencing salvation,” and “I will be fully saved.”
活潑盼望與天上基業
Living Hope and the Heavenly Inheritance
彼得前書一章3至5節把三件事連在一起：重生、活潑盼望與天上的基業。
First Peter 1:3–5 joins three realities together: new birth, living hope, and a heavenly inheritance.
神照祂的大憐憫，藉耶穌基督從死人中復活，使信徒重生；重生的結果不是只有一種主觀感覺，而是使人進入一份有確據、能持續、面向永恆的「活潑盼望」。
In His great mercy, God causes believers to be born again through Jesus Christ’s resurrection; the result of new birth is not merely a subjective feeling, but entry into a certain, enduring, eternal “living hope.”
這份盼望指向一個「不朽壞、不玷污、不衰殘」的基業，並且已經「為你們存留在天上」。
This hope points to an inheritance that is “imperishable, undefiled, and unfading,” already “kept in heaven for you.”
「不朽壞」表示它不會像地上的資產、身體、成就或制度一樣走向敗壞。
“Imperishable” means it will not decay like earthly assets, bodies, achievements, or institutions.
「不玷污」表示它不會被罪、欺詐、暴力、死亡或邪惡污染。
“Undefiled” means it cannot be polluted by sin, fraud, violence, death, or evil.
「不衰殘」表示它不會失去榮美、價值或新鮮感。
“Unfading” means it will not lose its beauty, value, or freshness.
彼得特別用這三重描述強調基業的永久、安全與純淨，與地上一切不穩定、會被奪去或終將消逝的事物形成對比。
Peter uses this threefold description to emphasize the inheritance’s permanence, security, and purity, contrasting it with everything on earth that is unstable, vulnerable to loss, or destined to pass away.
基業是甚麼？
What Is the Inheritance?
彼得沒有把天上的基業縮小成物質財富、天堂裡的獎品，或單純「死後去一個更好的地方」。
Peter does not reduce the heavenly inheritance to material wealth, prizes in heaven, or merely “going to a better place after death.”
在彼得前書裡，基業與「末世要顯現的救恩」緊密相連；換句話說，這份基業就是信徒在基督再來時完全領受的救恩。
In 1 Peter, inheritance is closely linked to “the salvation ready to be revealed in the last time”; in other words, this inheritance is the salvation believers will receive in fullness when Christ returns.
這包括罪得完全除去、死亡被勝過、身體復活、信徒得以完全像基督、與神永遠同住，並進入祂所應許的永恆榮耀。
This includes sin’s complete removal, death’s defeat, bodily resurrection, believers’ full conformity to Christ, eternal fellowship with God, and entrance into His promised eternal glory.
彼得在書信結尾說，神「親自成全你們、堅固你們、賜力量給你們、建立你們」；這工作最終帶領信徒進入祂在基督裡所召的「永遠榮耀」。
At the letter’s conclusion, Peter says that God will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish believers; this work ultimately brings them into the “eternal glory” to which He has called them in Christ.
因此，信徒最終的基業不是「某樣東西」而已，而是得著完全的救恩、完全的生命，以及永遠享受神自己。
Therefore, the believer’s ultimate inheritance is not merely “something,” but complete salvation, complete life, and eternal enjoyment of God Himself.
兩重保守的確據
The Assurance of Double Keeping
彼得前書一章4至5節有一個特別安慰人的結構：基業為信徒存留，信徒也蒙神大能保守。
First Peter 1:4–5 has a particularly comforting structure: the inheritance is kept for believers, and believers themselves are guarded by God’s power.
基業不是放在地上，所以不會被戰爭、經濟崩潰、疾病、政治變動或他人的惡意奪去。
The inheritance is not stored on earth, so it cannot be taken away by war, economic collapse, sickness, political change, or another person’s malice.
同時，信徒也不是靠自己脆弱的意志勉強走到終點；彼得說，他們藉著信，正蒙神的大能保守，直到那末世要顯現的救恩。
At the same time, believers do not reach the end merely by forcing themselves forward with fragile willpower; Peter says that through faith they are being guarded by God’s power until the salvation to be revealed at the last time.
這不是叫人被動或放棄警醒，而是使人不把救恩的最終安全感建立在自己的表現、情緒或環境上。
This does not call people to passivity or abandonment of vigilance; rather, it keeps them from grounding their final security in their own performance, emotions, or circumstances.
我們的信心是真實的回應，但我們得以持守，根本上是因為神信實地保守我們。
Our faith is a real response, but our perseverance rests fundamentally on God’s faithful preservation of us.
為何基業與苦難並列？
Why Are Inheritance and Suffering Placed Together?
彼得寫信給在社會上被邊緣化、面對壓力與試煉的基督徒，所以他不是要他們否認痛苦，而是要他們把痛苦放進永恆的視野。
Peter writes to Christians who are marginalized socially and face pressure and trials, so he does not ask them to deny pain, but to place pain within an eternal perspective.
一章6節承認信徒「在百般試煉中暫時憂愁」，但一章7節隨即說，試煉能顯明信心的真實，比被火試煉仍會朽壞的金子更寶貴。
Verse 6 acknowledges that believers are “grieved by various trials for a little while,” but verse 7 immediately says trials can prove the genuineness of faith, which is more precious than gold that is tested by fire yet still perishes.
這不表示每一個痛苦都可以被簡化成「神給你的功課」，更不表示受苦的人必須壓抑悲傷、假裝一切都好。
This does not mean every pain can be reduced to “a lesson God gave you,” nor that suffering people must suppress grief or pretend everything is fine.
彼得承認憂愁是真實的；但他也宣告，憂愁不是唯一的真實。神所保留的基業、祂正在保守的信徒、以及將來顯現的救恩，同樣是真實的。
Peter acknowledges that grief is real; yet he also declares that grief is not the only reality. The inheritance God preserves, the believers He is guarding, and the future salvation that will be revealed are equally real.
因此，活潑盼望不是否定眼淚，而是使眼淚不擁有最後一句話。
Therefore, living hope does not deny tears; it ensures that tears do not have the final word.
寄居者的資產配置
A Sojourner’s True Investment
彼得稱信徒為寄居者，這身份與「天上的基業」形成深刻關係。
Peter calls believers sojourners, and this identity has a deep connection with the “heavenly inheritance.”
寄居者可以善用地上的資源，卻不會把暫時的資產誤當作最終的家業。
A sojourner may use earthly resources well, but does not mistake temporary assets for the final family inheritance.
這不是反對工作、儲蓄、投資、專業發展或負責任地照顧家人。
This is not opposition to work, saving, investing, professional development, or responsibly caring for one’s family.
相反地，因為知道地上的一切都是暫時託付，信徒便能以更自由、更誠實、更有節制的方式管理它們。
On the contrary, because believers know earthly things are temporary trusts, they can manage them more freely, honestly, and wisely.
天上的基業使人不必把身份完全押在職位、收入、房產、名聲或人際認可上。
The heavenly inheritance enables a person not to stake their entire identity on position, income, property, reputation, or relational approval.
它也使人有力量在地上的損失中仍然行善：即使失去一些看得見的東西，仍不必失去自己最終不能朽壞的產業。
It also gives strength to continue doing good amid earthly losses: even if one loses visible things, one need not lose the ultimate inheritance that cannot perish.

Reflection and Prayer
我是否把救恩只看作過去曾經作出的決志，還是明白它也是神今天正在保守我、並將來要完全顯現的恩典？
Do I view salvation only as a past decision, or do I understand that it is also grace by which God guards me today and will fully reveal in the future?
我最害怕失去的是甚麼？那件事是否已經取代了天上基業，成為我真正的安全感？
What do I fear losing most? Has that thing replaced my heavenly inheritance as my true source of security?
我是否容讓眼前的試煉、憂愁或不確定，完全遮蓋了神為我存留、不朽壞、不玷污、不衰殘的基業？
Have I allowed present trials, grief, or uncertainty to completely obscure the inheritance God has reserved for me—imperishable, undefiled, and unfading?
主啊，感謝祢藉基督的復活使我重生，並賜我一份活潑、真實、不會落空的盼望。
Lord, thank You for causing me to be born again through Christ’s resurrection and giving me a living, real, unfailing hope.
感謝祢為我存留一份不朽壞、不玷污、不衰殘的天上基業，也以祢的大能保守我，直到救恩完全顯現。
Thank You for keeping for me an imperishable, undefiled, and unfading inheritance in heaven, and for guarding me by Your power until salvation is fully revealed.
當我在試煉中憂愁時，求祢不一定立刻挪去一切困難，但求祢使我看見，祢的恩典、祢的保守與祢所應許的榮耀，比眼前的黑暗更真實、更長久。
When I grieve in trials, I do not ask You necessarily to remove every difficulty immediately, but let me see that Your grace, Your keeping, and Your promised glory are more real and more enduring than the darkness before me.
願我以寄居者的心管理地上的託付，卻以天上基業作我最終的安全感、盼望與喜樂。
May I manage earthly trusts with the heart of a sojourner, while making my heavenly inheritance my ultimate security, hope, and joy.
