This reminds the church that Christ knows its real condition and is personally present with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. What Was Commendable in the Ephesian Church<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The church in Ephesus had many commendable qualities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u4ed6\u5011\u52de\u788c\u3001\u5fcd\u8010\uff0c\u4e0d\u5bb9\u5fcd\u60e1\u4eba\uff0c\u4e5f\u5bdf\u9a57\u81ea\u7a31\u4f7f\u5f92\u537b\u4e0d\u662f\u4f7f\u5f92\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u770b\u51fa\u4ed6\u5011\u662f\u5047\u7684\u3002
They labored, endured, would not tolerate evil, and tested those who claimed to be apostles but were not, finding them false.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u4ed6\u5011\u4e5f\u70ba\u4e3b\u7684\u540d\u52de\u82e6\uff0c\u4e26\u4e0d\u56f0\u5026\uff0c\u53c8\u6068\u60e1\u5c3c\u54e5\u62c9\u4e00\u9ee8\u4eba\u7684\u884c\u70ba\u3002
They also bore up for the Lord\u2019s name without growing weary and hated the works of the Nicolaitans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u9019\u63d0\u9192\u6211\u5011\uff1a\u611b\u771f\u7406\u3001\u5206\u8fa8\u932f\u8b2c\u3001\u6301\u5b88\u8056\u6f54\u548c\u5805\u5fcd\u670d\u4e8b\uff0c\u90fd\u662f\u5bf6\u8cb4\u7684\u3002
This reminds us that loving truth, discerning error, maintaining holiness, and persevering in service are precious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. The Lord\u2019s Serious Rebuke: Abandoning First Love<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet the Lord says, \u201cBut I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ephesian church had not lost truth or stopped laboring, but it gradually lost love for the Lord and for people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u771f\u7406\u82e5\u6c92\u6709\u611b\uff0c\u5bb9\u6613\u8b8a\u6210\u6279\u8a55\u3001\u6bd4\u8f03\u3001\u9a55\u50b2\u548c\u81ea\u6211\u8b49\u660e\u3002
Truth without love easily becomes criticism, comparison, pride, and self-justification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u4e00\u500b\u4eba\u53ef\u4ee5\u6b63\u78ba\u5730\u6307\u51fa\u5225\u4eba\u7684\u932f\uff0c\u537b\u6c92\u6709\u773c\u6dda\u3001\u79b1\u544a\u3001\u5fcd\u8010\u548c\u6069\u6148\u3002
A person may correctly point out another\u2019s error yet have no tears, prayer, patience, or kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. What Is \u201cFirst Love\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u300c\u8d77\u521d\u7684\u611b\u300d\u4e0d\u662f\u6307\u521d\u4fe1\u6642\u7684\u60c5\u7dd2\u6216\u8208\u596e\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u6307\u5c0d\u57fa\u7763\u55ae\u7d14\u3001\u771f\u5be6\u548c\u512a\u5148\u7684\u611b\u3002
\u201cFirst love\u201d does not refer merely to the emotions or excitement of early faith, but to a simple, genuine, and prioritized love for Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u5b83\u4e5f\u5305\u62ec\u56e0\u611b\u4e3b\u800c\u7522\u751f\u7684\u611b\u4eba\u3001\u670d\u4e8b\u3001\u79b1\u544a\u3001\u50b3\u798f\u97f3\u548c\u95dc\u61f7\u3002
It also includes loving others, serving, praying, sharing the gospel, and showing care because of love for the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u8d77\u521d\u7684\u611b\u8868\u73fe\u5728\u5177\u9ad4\u884c\u52d5\u4e2d\uff1a\u5b89\u975c\u79b1\u544a\u3001\u4e3b\u52d5\u95dc\u61f7\u3001\u4e0d\u8a08\u56de\u5831\u7684\u670d\u4e8b\u3001\u9952\u6055\u3001\u63a5\u5f85\u548c\u4ed8\u51fa\u3002
First love is expressed in concrete actions: quiet prayer, proactive care, service without expecting reward, forgiveness, hospitality, and giving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. The Lord\u2019s Threefold Call to Action<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u4e3b\u5c0d\u4ee5\u5f17\u6240\u6559\u6703\u8aaa\uff1a\u8981\u56de\u60f3\u3001\u8981\u6094\u6539\u3001\u8981\u505a\u8d77\u521d\u6240\u505a\u7684\u5de5\u4f5c\u3002
The Lord told the Ephesian church to remember, repent, and do the works it did at first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u56de\u60f3\uff0c\u662f\u627f\u8a8d\u81ea\u5df1\u5f9e\u54ea\u88e1\u589c\u843d\u3002
Remembering means acknowledging where one has fallen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u6094\u6539\uff0c\u662f\u627f\u8a8d\u5931\u53bb\u611b\u662f\u7f6a\uff0c\u4e26\u8f49\u5411\u4e3b\u3002
Repenting means admitting that losing love is sin and turning back to the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u505a\u8d77\u521d\u6240\u505a\u7684\u5de5\u4f5c\uff0c\u662f\u4e0d\u53ea\u505c\u7559\u5728\u611f\u53d7\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u91cd\u65b0\u4ee5\u5177\u9ad4\u884c\u52d5\u611b\u4e3b\u611b\u4eba\u3002
Doing the works done at first means not remaining in feelings but once again loving God and people through concrete action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u516d\u3001\u71c8\u81fa\u88ab\u632a\u53bb\u7684\u8b66\u544a
6. The Warning of Removing the Lampstand<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u4e3b\u8aaa\uff0c\u82e5\u4e0d\u6094\u6539\uff0c\u7942\u8981\u628a\u71c8\u81fa\u5f9e\u539f\u8655\u632a\u53bb\u3002
The Lord said that if they did not repent, He would remove their lampstand from its place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u71c8\u81fa\u4ee3\u8868\u6559\u6703\u7684\u898b\u8b49\uff1b\u71c8\u81fa\u88ab\u632a\u53bb\uff0c\u8868\u793a\u6559\u6703\u53ef\u80fd\u5931\u53bb\u70ba\u4e3b\u767c\u5149\u7684\u898b\u8b49\u3002
The lampstand represents the church\u2019s witness; its removal means the church may lose its witness and light for the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u9019\u4e0d\u662f\u8aaa\u4e3b\u6703\u8f15\u6613\u653e\u68c4\u7942\u7684\u6559\u6703\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u63d0\u9192\u6559\u6703\uff1a\u82e5\u5931\u53bb\u611b\uff0c\u5373\u4f7f\u4fdd\u7559\u7d44\u7e54\u3001\u805a\u6703\u548c\u5b97\u6559\u6d3b\u52d5\uff0c\u4e5f\u53ef\u80fd\u5931\u53bb\u771f\u6b63\u7684\u5149\u3002
This does not mean the Lord easily abandons His church, but it warns that if love is lost, a church may retain organization, gatherings, and religious activity while losing its true light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Hate Evil, Yet Keep Love<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u4e3b\u80af\u5b9a\u4ee5\u5f17\u6240\u6559\u6703\u6068\u60e1\u5c3c\u54e5\u62c9\u4e00\u9ee8\u4eba\u7684\u884c\u70ba\uff0c\u4e26\u8aaa\u7942\u4e5f\u6068\u60e1\u9019\u4e9b\u884c\u70ba\u3002
The Lord commended the Ephesian church for hating the works of the Nicolaitans, saying He also hated them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u9019\u8868\u793a\u4fe1\u5f92\u4e0d\u61c9\u5c0d\u7f6a\u59a5\u5354\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e0d\u61c9\u628a\u5305\u5bb9\u8aa4\u89e3\u70ba\u5c0d\u7f6a\u6f20\u4e0d\u95dc\u5fc3\u3002
This shows that believers should not compromise with sin or mistake tolerance for indifference toward evil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u4f46\u5b88\u4f4f\u771f\u7406\u4e0d\u80fd\u4ee5\u5931\u53bb\u611b\u70ba\u4ee3\u50f9\u3002
Yet holding fast to truth must not come at the cost of losing love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. The Promise to the Overcomer: Fruit From the Tree of Life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lord promised to grant the one who conquers to eat from the tree of life in the paradise of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fruit of the tree of life points to eternal life, communion with God, and final fullness of hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. How Can We Respond Today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u7b2c\u4e00\uff0c\u7701\u5bdf\u81ea\u5df1\u662f\u5426\u53ea\u6709\u771f\u7406\u800c\u6c92\u6709\u611b\u3002\u6211\u5011\u662f\u5426\u5e38\u5e38\u6307\u51fa\u5225\u4eba\u7684\u554f\u984c\uff0c\u537b\u5c11\u6709\u773c\u6dda\u3001\u79b1\u544a\u548c\u4ed8\u51fa\uff1f
First, examine whether you have truth without love. Do you often point out others\u2019 problems while having few tears, prayers, or acts of giving?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u7b2c\u4e8c\uff0c\u56de\u60f3\u8d77\u521d\u3002\u56de\u60f3\u521d\u4fe1\u3001\u521d\u670d\u4e8b\u6216\u55ae\u7d14\u611b\u4e3b\u7684\u65e5\u5b50\uff0c\u770b\u770b\u54ea\u4e9b\u884c\u52d5\u5982\u4eca\u6084\u6084\u505c\u4e86\u3002
Second, remember your beginning. Recall the days when you first believed, first served, or simply loved the Lord, and see which actions have quietly stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u7b2c\u4e09\uff0c\u6094\u6539\u4e26\u91cd\u65b0\u884c\u52d5\u3002\u5b89\u975c\u79b1\u544a\u3001\u4e3b\u52d5\u95dc\u61f7\u3001\u4e0d\u8a08\u56de\u5831\u7684\u670d\u4e8b\u3001\u9952\u6055\u548c\u63a5\u5f85\uff0c\u4e5f\u8a31\u6b63\u7b49\u5f85\u6211\u5011\u91cd\u65b0\u62fe\u8d77\u3002
Third, repent and act again. Quiet prayer, proactive care, service without expecting reward, forgiveness, and hospitality may be waiting for us to pick up again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fourth, do not let positions replace love. Brothers and sisters may become distant because of political judgments, decisions to migrate, views on different issues, or even a social media post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u7b2c\u4e94\uff0c\u611b\u90a3\u4e9b\u8207\u81ea\u5df1\u60f3\u6cd5\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u4eba\u3002\u82e5\u6211\u5011\u53ea\u9858\u611b\u8207\u81ea\u5df1\u60f3\u6cd5\u76f8\u540c\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u8d77\u521d\u7684\u611b\u4fbf\u53ef\u80fd\u5df2\u88ab\u7fa4\u9ad4\u7acb\u5834\u6084\u6084\u53d6\u4ee3\u3002
Fifth, love those who think differently. If we love only those who agree with us, first love may have quietly been replaced by group identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
