Historical Background: Living in a Different Culture<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u5f7c\u5f97\u524d\u66f8\u662f\u5beb\u7d66\u5206\u6563\u5728\u672c\u90fd\u3001\u52a0\u62c9\u592a\u3001\u52a0\u5e15\u591a\u5bb6\u3001\u4e9e\u7d30\u4e9e\u548c\u5e87\u63a8\u5c3c\u7684\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u3002\u9019\u4e9b\u5730\u5340\u4f4d\u65bc\u5c0f\u4e9e\u7d30\u4e9e\uff0c\u7576\u6642\u5c6c\u65bc\u7f85\u99ac\u5e1d\u570b\uff0c\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u662f\u5c11\u6578\u7fa4\u9ad4\uff0c\u5bb9\u6613\u56e0\u4fe1\u4ef0\u800c\u88ab\u8aa4\u89e3\u3001\u6392\u65a5\u751a\u81f3\u8ab9\u8b17\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First Peter is addressed to Christians scattered across Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. These regions were in Asia Minor under the Roman Empire, and Christians were a minority group who could be misunderstood, excluded, and slandered because of their faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u65e9\u671f\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u4e0d\u4e00\u5b9a\u4e00\u958b\u59cb\u5c31\u9762\u5c0d\u5168\u9762\u6027\u7684\u5b98\u65b9\u903c\u8feb\uff1b\u4e0d\u5c11\u7814\u7a76\u8a8d\u70ba\uff0c\u5f7c\u5f97\u6240\u8655\u7406\u7684\u58d3\u529b\uff0c\u66f4\u591a\u662f\u4f86\u81ea\u793e\u6703\u5b64\u7acb\u3001\u53e3\u982d\u6bc0\u8b17\u3001\u7d93\u6fdf\u6392\u65a5\u548c\u9130\u820d\u5c0d\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u751f\u6d3b\u65b9\u5f0f\u7684\u8aa4\u89e3\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Early Christians may not initially have faced universal state-sponsored persecution; many studies suggest that Peter is addressing pressures such as social ostracism, verbal slander, economic exclusion, and neighbors\u2019 misunderstanding of Christian conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u4ed6\u5011\u56e0\u4e0d\u53c3\u8207\u67d0\u4e9b\u7570\u6559\u796d\u7940\u3001\u5bb4\u5e2d\u8207\u793e\u6703\u6d3b\u52d5\uff0c\u88ab\u4eba\u8996\u70ba\u53cd\u793e\u6703\u3001\u4e0d\u656c\u8654\u3001\u4e0d\u611b\u570b\uff0c\u751a\u81f3\u88ab\u8aa3\u544a\u70ba\u4f5c\u60e1\u7684\u4eba\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because they refused to participate in certain pagan rituals, banquets, and social activities, they could be regarded as antisocial, impious, unpatriotic, and even accused of wrongdoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u6240\u4ee5\uff0c\u5f7c\u5f97\u4e0d\u662f\u5c0d\u4e00\u7fa4\u8212\u9069\u3001\u6c92\u6709\u58d3\u529b\u7684\u4fe1\u5f92\u8b1b\u9053\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u5c0d\u4e00\u7fa4\u9700\u8981\u5728\u964c\u751f\u3001\u751a\u81f3\u6575\u8996\u57fa\u7763\u4fe1\u4ef0\u7684\u74b0\u5883\u4e2d\u6d3b\u51fa\u898b\u8b49\u7684\u4eba\u8aaa\u8a71\u3002<br>Peter is therefore not addressing comfortable believers without pressure, but people who must live as witnesses in an environment unfamiliar with, and sometimes hostile toward, Christian faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u4e8c\u3001\u300c\u5ba2\u65c5\u548c\u5bc4\u5c45\u7684\u300d\u662f\u751a\u9ebc\u610f\u601d\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. What Does \u201cSojourners and Exiles\u201d Mean?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u300c\u5ba2\u65c5\u300d\u8207\u300c\u5bc4\u5c45\u7684\u300d\u4e0d\u662f\u55ae\u7d14\u63cf\u8ff0\u4fe1\u5f92\u6709\u4e00\u5929\u6703\u4e0a\u5929\u5802\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u63cf\u8ff0\u4ed6\u5011\u76ee\u524d\u5728\u793e\u6703\u4e2d\u7684\u8eab\u4efd\u8207\u4f4d\u7f6e\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cSojourners and exiles\u201d do not merely describe believers as people who will one day go to heaven; they describe their present social identity and position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u4ed6\u5011\u5be6\u969b\u4f4f\u5728\u9019\u500b\u4e16\u754c\uff0c\u5de5\u4f5c\u3001\u5efa\u7acb\u5bb6\u5ead\u3001\u5c65\u884c\u516c\u6c11\u8cac\u4efb\uff0c\u4e5f\u5c0b\u6c42\u6240\u5728\u57ce\u5e02\u7684\u76ca\u8655\uff1b\u4f46\u4ed6\u5011\u4e0d\u518d\u628a\u5468\u570d\u793e\u6703\u7684\u50f9\u503c\u89c0\u7576\u4f5c\u6700\u9ad8\u6a19\u6e96\u3002<br>They genuinely live in this world, work, raise families, fulfill civic responsibilities, and seek the good of their city; but they no longer treat surrounding society\u2019s values as the highest standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u5bc4\u5c45\u8005\u4e0d\u662f\u9003\u96e2\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u5728\u4e16\u754c\u4e2d\u6d3b\u51fa\u53e6\u4e00\u7a2e\u5fe0\u8aa0\u7684\u4eba\u3002<br>A sojourner is not someone who flees the world, but someone who lives in the world with a different allegiance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u9019\u500b\u8eab\u4efd\u5305\u542b\u5169\u500b\u65b9\u5411\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This identity contains two directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u4e0d\u5c6c\u65bc\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u50f9\u503c\u4e2d\u5fc3\u3002<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Not belonging to the world\u2019s value center.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u4ecd\u7136\u70ba\u4e16\u754c\u7684\u76ca\u8655\u8ca0\u8cac\u3002<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Still accepting responsibility for the good of the world.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u56e0\u6b64\uff0c\u57fa\u7763\u5f92\u65e2\u4e0d\u61c9\u5b8c\u5168\u540c\u5316\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e0d\u61c9\u5b8c\u5168\u9694\u96e2\uff1b\u800c\u662f\u4ee5\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u54c1\u683c\u3001\u5584\u884c\u548c\u76fc\u671b\uff0c\u6d3b\u5728\u793e\u6703\u4e4b\u4e2d\u3002<br>Therefore, Christians should neither assimilate completely nor isolate completely; they are to live within society with distinctive character, good works, and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u4e09\u3001\u300c\u8089\u9ad4\u7684\u60c5\u617e\u300d\u7684\u91cb\u7d93\u610f\u7fa9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. The Exegetical Meaning of \u201cFleshly Desires\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u5f7c\u5f97\u6240\u8aaa\u7684\u300c\u8089\u9ad4\u7684\u60c5\u617e\u300d\uff0c\u539f\u6587\u662f <strong>sarkik\u014dn epithymi\u014dn<\/strong>\u3002<br>Peter\u2019s phrase \u201cfleshly desires\u201d is <strong>sarkik\u014dn epithymi\u014dn<\/strong> in Greek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>sarkikos<\/strong> \u662f\u300c\u5c6c\u8089\u9ad4\u7684\u3001\u7531\u58ae\u843d\u4eba\u6027\u652f\u914d\u7684\u300d\uff1b<strong>epithymia<\/strong> \u662f\u300c\u5f37\u70c8\u617e\u671b\u3001\u6e34\u671b\u6216\u6b32\u6c42\u300d\u3002\u5728\u672c\u7bc0\u4e0a\u4e0b\u6587\u4e2d\uff0c\u5b83\u4e0d\u662f\u53ea\u6307\u6027\u617e\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u6307\u4e00\u5207\u8207\u795e\u65e8\u610f\u722d\u6230\u7684\u81ea\u6211\u4e2d\u5fc3\u617e\u671b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sarkikos<\/strong> means \u201cfleshly\u201d or \u201cgoverned by fallen human nature\u201d; <strong>epithymia<\/strong> means \u201cstrong desire, longing, or craving.\u201d In this context, it does not refer only to sexual desire, but to all self-centered desires that war against God\u2019s will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u9019\u4e9b\u617e\u671b\u53ef\u4ee5\u5305\u62ec\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These desires may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u6027\u65b9\u9762\u7684\u4e0d\u6f54\u8207\u653e\u7e31\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sexual impurity and indulgence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u5c0d\u91d1\u9322\u3001\u5730\u4f4d\u8207\u7269\u8cea\u7684\u8caa\u5a6a\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Greed for money, status, and possessions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u5ac9\u5992\u3001\u6bd4\u8f03\u8207\u4e0d\u80fd\u63a5\u53d7\u5225\u4eba\u6210\u529f\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Envy, comparison, and inability to accept another\u2019s success.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u61a4\u6012\u3001\u82e6\u6bd2\u8207\u5831\u5fa9\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anger, bitterness, and revenge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u63a7\u5236\u5225\u4eba\u3001\u63a7\u5236\u7d50\u679c\u8207\u4fdd\u8b77\u81ea\u6211\u5f62\u8c61\u7684\u617e\u671b\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The desire to control people, outcomes, and personal image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u5bb3\u6015\u88ab\u62d2\u7d55\u800c\u96a8\u6ce2\u9010\u6d41\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conforming out of fear of rejection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u5c0d\u8212\u9069\u3001\u5b89\u5168\u3001\u5a1b\u6a02\u6216\u8a8d\u53ef\u7684\u5931\u63a7\u4f9d\u8cf4\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uncontrolled dependence on comfort, security, entertainment, or approval.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u5f7c\u5f97\u7684\u91cd\u9ede\u4e0d\u662f\u300c\u8eab\u9ad4\u672c\u8eab\u662f\u90aa\u60e1\u7684\u300d\uff0c\u4e5f\u4e0d\u662f\u7981\u6b32\u4e3b\u7fa9\uff1b\u4ed6\u7684\u91cd\u9ede\u662f\uff1a\u58ae\u843d\u4eba\u6027\u7684\u617e\u671b\u6703\u722d\u596a\u4eba\u7684\u4e3b\u6b0a\uff0c\u4f7f\u4eba\u4e0d\u518d\u6309\u795e\u7684\u65e8\u610f\u751f\u6d3b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peter\u2019s point is not that the body itself is evil, nor is he teaching asceticism; his point is that desires arising from fallen humanity fight for control and keep people from living according to God\u2019s will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u56db\u3001\u300c\u8207\u9748\u9b42\u722d\u6230\u300d\u662f\u600e\u6a23\u767c\u751f\uff1f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. How Do These Desires Wage War Against the Soul?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u5f7c\u5f97\u4f7f\u7528\u8207\u8ecd\u4e8b\u6230\u722d\u76f8\u95dc\u7684\u8a9e\u8a00\uff0c\u8868\u793a\u9019\u4e9b\u617e\u671b\u4e0d\u662f\u4e00\u500b\u5076\u7136\u5ff5\u982d\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u6301\u7e8c\u722d\u596a\u6211\u5011\u5167\u5728\u751f\u547d\u7684\u529b\u91cf\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peter uses language associated with military warfare, showing that these desires are not merely occasional thoughts, but forces that continually fight for control of our inner life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u5b83\u5011\u901a\u5e38\u900f\u904e\u5e7e\u500b\u6b65\u9a5f\u5de5\u4f5c\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They often work through several stages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. \u628a\u9858\u671b\u8b8a\u6210\u4e3b\u4eba<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Turning a Desire into a Master<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u4e00\u500b\u5408\u7406\u9858\u671b\u82e5\u5931\u53bb\u754c\u7dda\uff0c\u5c31\u6703\u8b8a\u6210\u300c\u6211\u5fc5\u9808\u5f97\u5230\u300d\u3002<br>A legitimate desire can become \u201cI must have this\u201d when it loses proper boundaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u4f8b\u5982\uff0c\u60f3\u8981\u5de5\u4f5c\u7a69\u5b9a\u662f\u5408\u7406\u7684\uff1b\u4f46\u82e5\u70ba\u4fdd\u4f4f\u5de5\u4f5c\u800c\u507d\u9020\u8cc7\u6599\u3001\u96b1\u779e\u7f3a\u9677\uff0c\u5b89\u5168\u611f\u4fbf\u5df2\u7d93\u958b\u59cb\u652f\u914d\u826f\u5fc3\u3002<br>Wanting job stability is legitimate; but if one falsifies data or conceals defects to keep a job, the desire for security has begun to rule conscience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. \u626d\u66f2\u5224\u65b7<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Distorting Judgment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u617e\u671b\u5f37\u70c8\u6642\uff0c\u4eba\u5e38\u5e38\u4e0d\u518d\u554f\u300c\u795e\u559c\u6085\u751a\u9ebc\u300d\uff0c\u800c\u53ea\u554f\u300c\u600e\u6a23\u624d\u80fd\u9054\u6210\u6211\u7684\u76ee\u6a19\u300d\u3002<br>When desire becomes intense, people often stop asking, \u201cWhat pleases God?\u201d and ask only, \u201cHow can I achieve my goal?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u65bc\u662f\u4eba\u6703\u7528\u300c\u5927\u5bb6\u90fd\u9019\u6a23\u505a\u300d\u3001\u300c\u6c92\u6709\u5176\u4ed6\u9078\u64c7\u300d\u3001\u300c\u9019\u53ea\u662f\u5c0f\u4e8b\u300d\u4f86\u5408\u7406\u5316\u4e0d\u7fa9\u3002<br>People then rationalize injustice by saying, \u201cEveryone does it,\u201d \u201cThere is no other choice,\u201d or \u201cIt is only a small matter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. \u7834\u58de\u5167\u5728\u8eab\u4efd<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.
